Aftermarket Sales Specialist

This role is responsible for both the execution and growth of the spare parts business. It ensures accurate quoting, efficient order fulfillment, and strong customer support while proactively driving aftermarket sales through customer engagement, inventory planning, and lifecycle-based strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Order Management & Fulfillment

  • Oversee end-to-end spare parts quoting and order execution, including pricing
  • Ensure orders are processed accurately, shipped on time, and completed
  • Maintain and provide recommended spare parts lists, including pre-machine shipment support and customer-specific BOM requirements
  • Ensure critical and emergency spare parts are properly stocked and available for immediate fulfillment and coordinate urgent orders
  • Analyze usage trends and demand forecasts to improve stocking strategies and partner with Purchasing to optimize inventory levels

Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Drive spare parts revenue growth through proactive outreach, installed base analysis, and customer follow-ups
  • Identify opportunities within existing accounts and promote spare parts programs, service agreements, and bundled offerings
  • Support pricing strategies and recommend actions to improve sales, margins, and customer adoption

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with IMEC customers and end users
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for spare parts inquiries, quotations, and support
  • Provide technical guidance on parts compatibility and replacement cycles
  • Resolve customer issues efficiently, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention

Aftermarket Strategy

  • Support development of the aftermarket business strategy and value proposition
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve parts offerings, standardize kits, and enhance lifecycle value
  • Monitor competitor activity and recommend improvements to positioning and profitability

Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • Maintain accurate CRM/ERP data, forecasts, and reporting metrics
  • Track key performance indicators including quote turnaround time, order accuracy, delivery performance, and revenue growth

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (preferred)

Experience

  • 2-5 years of experience in OEM spare parts sales, aftermarket services, or industrial equipment
  • Experience in both customer service/order management and sales growth preferred
  • Familiarity with CRM and ERP systems

Skills

  • Strong technical understanding of industrial machinery and components
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
  • Analytical mindset with experience in forecasting, pricing, and data-driven decisions
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across teams
