Position Overview

Infinity Machine & Engineering Corp., a leading provider of high-performance packaging and converting equipment, is seeking a Mechanical Designer to join our Engineering team. This role is responsible for releasing production-ready equipment designs, creating accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), and providing hands-on engineering support to the assembly team. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical design skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across departments to ensure efficient manufacturing and assembly of equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and release detailed mechanical designs for production equipment.
• Create and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support manufacturing and procurement.
• Provide engineering support to the assembly team, troubleshooting and resolving design-related issues during builds.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and production staff to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and quality standards.
• Update and revise existing designs and documentation as needed.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all released designs comply with company standards and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Inventor preferred).
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, fabrication methods, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in creating and managing BOMs in an ERP/MRP system.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to support assembly troubleshooting.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
