Overall Job Objective:
The Mechanical Design Engineer I’s main responsibility is to create parts, assemblies, and drawings with a high amount of supervision and guidance.
Core Responsibilities:
· Create part, assembly, and detail drawings.
· Create, release, and modify BOM’s.
· Complete mechanical assembly and pre-build books.
· Create drawings and models that conform to IMEC standards.
Shared Responsibilities:
· Make design and engineering continuous improvement suggestions to the engineering team.
· Make design and engineering cost improvement suggestions to the engineering team.
· Create, maintain, and present on mechanical engineering standards topics.
· Travel to customer sites as needed.
Requirements:
Education: Associates degree in mechanical design or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience: Recommended to have 0-2 years of relatable work experience. Must have a high mechanical aptitude with a focus on independent problem solving and have above average personal expectations. Must be able to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally to internal and external customers.
