CNC Lathe Operator

Infinity Machine is seeking out an CNC Lathe Operator for our recently expanded machine shop, apply today!

Requirements:

• Study drawings/blueprints & specifications to determine setup & tooling requirements
• Select, align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines
• Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed and depth of cut, according to established guidelines and procedures
• Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, adjust machine controls as required
• Verify conformance of finished work-piece to specifications, using measuring and inspection tools as needed
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on machines as required
• Operate/program Haas lathe
• Manually program G-code with aid of Visual Quick Code
• Measure/hold tolerances down to .0002″
• Ability to standardize workflow to eliminate downtime/setups between parts
• Follow safety precautions in fabrication area
• Maintain cleanliness in fabrication area

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent certificate
• CNC Technician degree or in lieu of degree applicable work experience as a machinist
• Ability to read micrometer, caliper, tape measure
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Must possess strong basic math skills
• Prior Haas experience is a plus
• Own measurement tools in good quality
• Work independently and troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Keen attention to detail
• Mechanical and Technical Skills
